Chart Wood School will, as far as possible, remain open to support the families of key workers and the vulnerable children we serve. Please contact us on admin.merstham@cws.surrey.sch.uk if you need anything, and on dsl@cws.surrey.sch.uk if you have any safeguarding concerns.

March 2020 update

The building works are progressing well at the Dorking site. From the photos below you can see the extent of works that are taking place. The layout of the building has been altered to create spaces that are more effective with separate areas for the lower and upper school. New classrooms include a specially built home economics room with separate kitchen stations, modifications to the gym and science rooms with a designated area for experiments.

Other improvements underway include a new heating system, electrics, new garden areas, new roof, extension to the dining room and much more!

Below is a selection of images:

Extension to original dining room.
The new road which runs around the building and provides access back to the main road.

New staircases providing an additional side entrance to the building.
A new science classroom in progress.

The difference in my boy since he started at Chart Wood a year ago is amazing and really positive. My boy loves all aspects of his school day and now comes home calmer and happier. I wouldn’t want to place him anywhere else now.
