New Principal appointment

We are pleased to announce that Graham Payne has been appointed as the new Principal for Chart Wood School following a competitive recruitment process. We look forward to working with Graham when he takes up this post on 1st September 2019.

Graham is currently Executive Principal for a Multi Academy Trust specialising in Alternative Provision and Special Schools across the country. The Trust has three Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) provisions and will be opening a school for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs/Autistic Spectrum Disorder in 2021. Previously, Graham was a Headteacher at an Alternative Provision school and has been a Deputy Headteacher in a mainstream school.

The difference in my boy since he started at Chart Wood a year ago is amazing and really positive. My boy loves all aspects of his school day and now comes home calmer and happier. I wouldn’t want to place him anywhere else now.
